Stocks making biggest moves in the premarket including Netflix, Tesla, Nike, and Virgin Galactic
Nike (NKE) — Nike reported quarterly earnings of 93 cents per share that went beyond forecasts. The
shoes company saw a surge of 73% in direct sales. Nike shares advanced 12.5% in the premarket.
CarMax (KMX) — Following the auto retailer reported better-than-expected sales and profit for its latest
quarter, shares of CarMax jumped 5.9%.
Virgin Galactic (SPCE) — The spaceflight company owned by Virgin Group got the approval from the
Federal Aviation Administration to take customers into space. Its shares soared 11.5% in the premarket.
FedEx (FDX) — FedEx reported results better than estimates by 2 cents a share, with quarterly earnings
of $5.01 per share. The delivery service’s revenue also beat forecasts.
Tesla (TSLA) – As a major battery supplier to Tesla, Panasonic sold its entire stake in Tesla for about $3.6
billion during the most recent fiscal year. It was also an early investor in the automobile manufacturing
Netflix (NFLX) — Shares of streaming service titan surged 1.3% in the premarket after an upgrade to
“outperform” from “neutral” at Credit Suisse. The bank confirmed Netflix’s strong competitive position.
BlackBerry (BB) — BlackBerry shares advanced 1.3% in premarket trading following its smaller-than-
expected loss for its latest quarter. It also saw better-than-expected revenue.
