The US president to ease COVID restrictions

The Biden administration is planning to dial down restrictions in May on travel across the borders with
Mexico and Canada and on inbound international travel from the UK, Europe and Brazil, reported by two
sources that are familiar with the matter.
“There is going to be a sea change in mid-May when vaccines are more widely available to everyone,”
stated one senior administration official.
However, the White House did not respond to e-mail requests regarding the rumors, as reported by
CNBC.
The Department of Homeland Security announced that a ban on land crossings at the borders with
Canada and Mexico will be extended by one-month until April 21.
