Asia-Pacific stocks mixed

On Monday, Stocks in Asia-Pacific were a mix bag, as investor sentiments were affected by the release of China’s official manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for November, as reported by CNBC.China’s National Bureau of Statistics stated on Monday, the official manufacturing PMI for November was at 52.1. That went beyond the expectations for a 51.5 reading forecast from analysts in a poll by Reuters.Mainland Chinese stocks went up by the afternoon: The Shanghai composite added 1.07% while the Shenzhen component surged 0.701%.Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index dropped 0.5%. Shares of HSBC listed in the city dipped 0.6% after a Financial Times report stating that the bank is taking an exit from U.S. retail banking into consideration.Markets elsewhere in the region were in the lower territory. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 tumbled 0.51% while the Topix index fell 1.08%
