Apple iPhone 12 launched; costs at least $100 more than iPhone 11
On Tuesday, the tech titan Apple unveiled new iPhones in a video presentation just over an hour long
including the new devices’ faster chips, 5G speeds and capabilities, and improved cameras.
However, one of the most significant pieces of information for investors and customers got relatively
less stage time: Changes applied to the iPhone lineup’s segmentation and pricing.
Apple made the decision to change its iPhone lineup so that the new model which was announced at
$699 is now a Mini device with a smaller screen. The iPhone 12, the direct successor to the iPhone 11,
surged its price up to $799. The phone may cost $829 if it is not paired with wireless service from
Verizon or AT&T, as per Apple’s website.
