China has decided to donate 1000 ventilators to aid New York

The Chinese government has decided to donate 1,000 ventilators to New York state amidst the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, according to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo who stated so on Saturday. The shipment is supposed to arrive at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Saturday.
“This is a big deal, and it’s going to make a significant difference for us,” Cuomo said during press briefing in the morning. Apart from that, the state of Oregon is also sending 140 ventilators to New York, which has turned out to be an epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak.
Following the decision made by China, Cuomo thanked Jack Ma and Joe Tsai, founders of the Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, and also, the Chinese Consul General in New York, Huang Ping.
As of now, the number of Coronavirus cases have been accelerating in a devastating manner in New York. According to the governor’s office, there’s total of 113,704 cases and 3,565 deaths in the state as of Saturday.
Irrespective of the prevailing situation, the factories are already operating at full capacity and according to projections, New York may not have enough of the live-saving machines by next week.
