Colgate-Palmolive released their economic results.
Colgate-Palmolive Company (NYSE-CL) has recently released their economic results for the third quarter of the year 2018, which outperformed the analysts’ expectations. Despite a small decrease in revenue, the economic results for the third quarter of 2018 have been good, as the company managed to cope with the trend of a significant competition in China. Colgate-Palmolive’s net sales managed to hit the mark of 3.845 billion USD. Revenue of the sector in skincare increased by 1.5%, which was however offset by 0.5% decrease in revenues from organic products. Management had to say this to the medias: “While the price environment is still difficult to handle due to the competition, we are happy that we managed to set acceptable prices in this quarter, which managed to partially compensate for the increased costs in terms of logistics and raw inputs. The company also expects a strong last quarter of 2018, which will reflect the revenue typical for the Christmas holidays.” These facts have caught the interest of the investors what in turn increased the interest in the stocks of the company (NYSE-CL), which were valued at 63,08 USD on 4th of December 2018.
